Eliot Raffit was commissioned to honor New York’s Style Icon Iris Apfel with one of his Iconic Ornaments at Bergdorf Goodman on May 24, 2012. The University of Texas hosted a Dinner overlooking Manhattan’s 5th Avenue and Central Park for the generous work Iris continues to do for the University’s School of Fashion. A select crowd of New York’s Fashion Elite and Top University Donors each received a very special gift from Eliot Raffit. Inspired by the mascot and symbol of the University of Texas, Eliot Raffit designed a limited-edition, hand-crafted Longhorn Bull rendered in Vintage Silver Glass Glitter and tied with a loop of Austrian Velvet as a special gift for each guest. Watching One of New York’s Most Celebrated Design Icons singing the praises of one of New York’s newest was an inspiring sight to see.
