Restoring the Grandeur of Washington, D.C. White House Briefs by ELIOT RAFFIT

Restoring the Grandeur of Washington, D.C. White House Briefs by ELIOT RAFFIT www.EliotRaffit.com www.EliotBranding.com With my understanding of our President’s decree, our Nation’s Capital was envisioned by the finest city planners, architects, craftsmen, and sculptors the world could offer in 1790. Grand buildings with spectacular columns and domes rose along the Potomac River, along with soaring landmarks, majestic monuments, and splendid parks and gardens in shimmering marble, granite, and limestone. Classical architecture of the Greeks and Romans was envisioned with an American sensibility of freedom and liberty. Our new Nation had a capital elevated to rival the finest in the world, ushering in the story of our Founding Fathers and the new American Exceptionalism.
